2014 Scion FR-S Convertible Announced

The rear-wheel drive 2013 Scion FR-S is about to get a bit more fun. Okay, maybe a lot more fun, depending on how you feel about convertible coupes. Yes, that's right - the FR-S will be dropping it's top for 2014.

It will be mostly the same FR-S that we first caught a glimpse of at the 2011 New York Auto Show. The two-door coupe is powered by 2.0-liter flat-four boxer engine that sends 200 horsepower to the rear wheels. Drivers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. On the outside, the styling will remain mostly the same including the dual exhaust, 17-inch alloy wheels, and of course, the choice between driving with the soft-top up or down.

Other things you might like about the FR-S (regardless of its roof style):

-Tilt-and-telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel
-Cruise control
-Bluetooth with streaming audio
-Full power accessories
-Sport seats
-Antilock brakes with brake assist, traction control, stability control
-0-60 time of 6.6 seconds
-25 mpg city/34 mph highway

Like we said, the convertible Scion FR-S will roll into our showroom for the 2014 model year. The regular coupe is set to arrive any day, so be sure to stay tuned with Deland Toyota Scion, 1702 South Woodland Blvd Deland, FL 32720 to hear more about it! When you're ready to take one for a test drive, just drop us a line via our website. A member of our will get right back to you with model details and to arrange a time to stop by.
